Something Groovy + Psychedelic Sundays + Freak Bazaar collaborate to bring you a 15hr Bank Holiday Sunday session 24/05/15 at Coalition, the heart of Brighton’s seafront.

In the daytime we’ll be mixing up an inspiring blend of sounds for a sunny seafront afternoon: Global Fusions, Chilled Dub, & Housey Grooves played to the seafront terrace, and when the terrace closes between 8pm-9pm, we’ll head indoors where the vibe will go more uptempo; with Gaudi on stage at 22:30, taking us on an energetic 2hr journey through his varied soundscapes. Following Gaudi, the vibe will be woven into progressive trance and winding up to full on psy trance. The Coalition’s grandiose arches will be adorned with world class décor and projections by Something Groovy.

Gaudi Bio:
Gaudi’s eclectic style and versatility has kept him at the forefront of his field throughout a notable and prolific career. A classically trained pianist and Theremin player with a fascination for anything that could produce sound distortion. Gaudi began his career as composer and producer experimenting with analogue synthesizers, filtered vocals and tape echoes, showcasing some of the world’s craziest effects modules, blending his rasta heritage with electronic beats, drum and bass and electro infused with an ever playful selection of Hi and Low Fi gadgets to great effect. During this period he has invited a host of MCs and musicians to join his live shows, taking the stage across the globe, most notably: Glastonbury, Glade, Big Chill, Gatecrasher & Fabric (England), Vancouver Jazz Festival, Shambhala, Eclipse (Canada), Earthcore (Australia), Harmony, Earthdance, Joshua Tree, Beloved (USA), Skol Beat, Universo Parallello (Brazil), Roskilde (Denmark), Reggae Sunsplash, Sonica (Italy), Boom (Portugal), Aurora (Greece) Arcadia (France), Hexistence, Harmonia, Omni (Spain), No Man’s Land (Hungary), Electric Picnic (Ireland) to name a few…. from the mainstream to the more underground it is evident from his global appeal that his fan base is as diverse as his music and influences.

With 12 solo albums to date, 250 music productions, 90 remixes and more than 100 compilations featuring his tracks, Gaudi has been pretty regularly present in the UK and USA iTunes Charts. During his extensive career Gaudy has toured alongside reggae legends such as The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Ziggy Marley, Michael Rose, Yellowman, Sister Carol, Mutabaruka, I-Three, Freddy Mc Gregor & Maxi Priest.

Gaudi’s current live shows consisting of his experimental synths and analogue antics alongside the energy raising MC, Vocalist and Beatboxer: Danny Ladwa, himself boasting a rich and expansive career spanning more than a decade of lyrical spirit listing adventures around the globe.
